Many people come to discover that their core beliefs are shame based and, in frantic attempts at achievement, send their real self into hiding. A person may become entangled in knots of shoulds, oughts and musts; becoming a 'human doing' rather than a human being.
We can, and must reconnect with the hidden, or abandoned part of who we are. This part of ourselves is sometimes referred to as the 'inner child,' the 'higher self,' or as Jung described it, 'The Self.'
Shame is toxic. It is undeniable that negative emotions and beliefs greatly impact every aspect of our lives, particularly our personal performance. Anger (fear), stress, and anxiety make it hard for us to function at our best - both personally and professionally. Toxic shame is linked with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Claire is experienced in treating those experiencing the shame producing effects of workplace bullying.
